Herb Sense bracelets are suitable for most adults. As a precaution, we recommend that those who are pregnant, breastfeeding, or with known sensitivities to fragrance speak with their healthcare professional before wearing one. The bracelets are not designed for children.

Who should take extra care:

Pregnant or breastfeeding: speak with your healthcare professional before wearing.
Sensitive to fragrance or essential oils: try a smaller bead size first to see how your skin responds.
Young children: bracelets contain small beads and are not designed for children to wear. Please keep out of reach.

If you experience any skin irritation, remove the bracelet and consult a healthcare professional.

A small amount of gentle colour transfer is possible, especially in the first weeks of wear or when the bracelet meets moisture. This is normal — and a quiet sign that the materials are real.

Why this happens:

The pigments in our beads come from plants. Many of them, like anthocyanins, are naturally water-soluble. When the bead surface meets skin oils, perspiration, or moisture, a small amount of plant powder may lift from the surface.

It is the same reason fresh herbs stain a wooden cutting board, or why turmeric leaves a trace on the fingers.

To minimise transfer:

Let the bracelet rest a few days before wearing if it is brand new.
Keep it away from water — pat dry if it gets wet.
Wipe lightly with a dry cloth between wears.

A bracelet that never transfers any colour, even under friction or moisture, may have been treated with synthetic dyes or sealants. We choose not to do this.

The transfer is gentle, washes off easily, and settles quickly with continuous wear.

Herb Sense bracelets are scented botanical bracelets, hand-pressed from traditional Chinese herbs, aromatic woods, and natural resins. Each bead is bound with Makko powder — a fine natural powder made from the bark of the Machilus tree — instead of synthetic glue.
What goes into each bead:
- Premium-grade botanicals: agarwood, sandalwood, frankincense, and other aromatic herbs, ground into fine powders.
- Natural resins and woods: sourced for their fragrance, depth, and longevity.
- Makko powder: our natural plant-based binder. No chemical adhesives, no plastic fillers, no synthetic fragrance.
Every bracelet is designed in Melbourne and hand-pressed in Henan, drawing on 1,500 years of Chinese herbal craft. Small batch.

The natural fragrance of a Herb Sense bracelet typically lasts six months to a year with regular wear, and longer with proper storage. Because the beads are pressed from real botanicals — not synthetic perfume — the aroma evolves rather than disappears.

How the scent behaves:
- First weeks: brightest and most pronounced.
- After several months: softer, more personal, settled into the wearer.
- After a rest: scent concentration returns. Place the bracelet in a small sealed container for a few days, and the aroma comes back refreshed.

To extend the life of the fragrance:
- Store in a sealed pouch or airtight container when not worn.
- Keep away from water, perfume, lotion, and direct sunlight.
- Let the bracelet rest between wears.
The fragrance is a quiet, evolving companion — not a constant cloud.

To choose the right Herb Sense bracelet size, measure your wrist with a soft tape and match it to a bead size below. All bracelets are strung on a durable elastic cord for comfortable wear.

Herb Sense bead size guide:
- 8 mm — delicate and refined. Best for wrists around 16 cm.
- 10 mm — versatile balance of presence and comfort. Best for wrists around 16 cm.
- 12 mm — our classic, balanced size. Best for wrists around 17 cm.
- 15 mm — bold and grounding. Best for wrists around 18 cm.
- 18 mm — substantial and impactful. Best for wrists around 19 cm.

How to measure your wrist:
1. Wrap a soft tape measure or a strip of paper around the widest part of your wrist.
2. Mark where it meets and measure the length in centimetres.
3. Match the measurement to the size guide above.
If you are between sizes, we recommend choosing the larger bead for a more grounded feel, or the smaller bead for a more delicate look. The elastic cord accommodates a comfortable range.

Herb Sense accepts returns of unopened, sealed bracelets within 14 days of delivery. Damaged or defective items can be replaced or refunded within 7 days. Because our bracelets are personal items worn against the skin, opened or worn bracelets cannot be returned for hygiene reasons.

- Unopened and sealed: return within 14 days of delivery for a refund.
- Opened or worn: not eligible for return, for hygiene reasons.
How to start a return:
1. Email hello@herbsense.store with your order number and reason for return.
2. We will respond within two business days with return instructions.
3. Refunds are processed within 5–7 business days of receiving the returned item.
Australian customers are also protected under Australian Consumer Law. This policy does not affect your statutory rights.

Herb Sense ships within Australia only, with standard shipping (3–7 business days) and express shipping (1–3 business days). Standard shipping is free on orders over $120. All orders are dispatched from our Melbourne fulfilment centre.
